Howdy!

I'm Z, a vintage computer enthusiast who's been eyeing OSI gear for some time. You can probably gather that I'm very much a Commodore fan. I saw a 300 on display a few years ago at Vintage Computer Festival East X, and it set my mind ablaze thinking of the possibilities of a 6502 machine with a front panel.

I picked up one of Christopher Bachman's mini replicas later that year at VCFMW 10, and it inspired me to build my own homebrew machine called the Cactus (which you can read about here: http://www.commodorez.com/cactus.html). I've found that I really enjoy using OSI BASIC, as it's the version I've selected for that project.

OSI equipment seemed to be unobtainium until recently, when I recently acquired a Challenger 4P by way of Glitch. It's a beautiful machine with some questionable wiring choices and a few technical problems, but nothing I can't sort out. I hope to go into greater detail about it soon enough, but in a more suitable thread than this one. I also picked up a 560Z and one of Glitch's RAM boards, which will be fun to assemble.

Welcome, from another Commodore Fan (PET, CBM-II). You'll find many of us are into multiple systems. I've owned a C4P since 1981. Sadly it is no longer working, so I hope you enjoy yours as much as I did back then.
