32 Chars per line
64 Chars per line
C1P
While the modifications are quite messy, and I would hate to have to repair them in the future, the results are quite pleasing to use.
Enjoy!

Re: Superboard mods
Thanks for posting this Jeff.
I agree, nice ends, but do they justify the means?

Oh man I think this is the kit I used to butcher my video up to 64 characters per line. The text sounds very familiar.Jeff wrote:@Dave: Here are the scans of the Progressive Computing C1P Video mods. Feel free to host them.

Re: Superboard mods
Jeff I think I may have one of your Superboard II's?
I say this because some of the pictures in this thread where there are pictures of roms & the wiring,
as well as the hand writing on the eprom labels looks familiar, and so does the old wiring...
I could be totally off, but I have a Superboard II that I traded from Steve Gray,
and it looks like it has some kind of mod on it. I'm having issues getting the video to
fit onto my screen, my scope shows 31 characters across, but the tv screen only shows 24 of them,
there is a 74LS93in the proto area below the 3.984 mhz crystal.... and it's wired up to pin 12 of the 74LS123 that
generates the /HS pulse....at any rate here are some pics...in the first pic, that is the bottom of 74LS123 that generates
/HS, there is a wire from pin 12 that goes down to the 74LS93 more pics to come... does this look familair to you, the wire looks
the same as in your pics above, and the hand writing on the roms? ( I could be out to lunch, i have been up until 2:00 AM since sunday
trying to figure out what is going on with my video.... ignore the the "unsoldered" pins on the 1000pf cap and 10k resister, I tried adjusting those
to see if I could wrangle my video in, but I now think the portion of the firmware that blanks out the first 4 characters and last 4 characters is not there.... hope this all makes sense.

Re: Superboard mods
Walter, yes I purchased the Superboard from someone in London in 2006. I remember trying it out and not getting proper video. I didn't realize it had a custom monitor rom in it or I would have archived it before passing it on to you. Hopefully you can send it here for us to enjoy. I have a totally stock C1P with OSI monitor if you'd like to try it, or I can burn you a copy. just make sure the jumpers are set properly

Re: Superboard mods
Hi All,
Would be interesting to know what the changes are in the "BASIC3" ROM.
The "ROMS Rev 2.0 Instructions.pdf" that Jeff posted contains the source for the changes to "BASIC4" and the "MONITOR", but I can't see that it details any changes to the "BASIC3" ROM?
Perhaps just a fix for the garbage collector bug?
Cheers,
Leslie
