Certainly with you on that Dave.We have a great team on the forum with various projects coming along well.
I'm back on board these days can now get my replica boards order sorted. I would be interested in 1 keyboard at least. Data separator and memory boards and backplanes etc I need to revisit just what I need there also and bundle it all. Spoiled myself with a new soldering iron and de -solder station for my retirement.

I would be interested in two keyboard PCBs to use Cherry keyswitches. Would there have to be a workaround for the latching Cherry keyswitches that are no longer made or would we have to search for NOS?

I would be interested in the correct keycaps too.

Do we have a solution for the space bar hardware; such as a 3D print of the plastic components and sizes for the wire piece?

I have pads to install a switch , if a locking switch can't be found.

the layouts for the 600 and 542 with mx keys have holes for these cherry parts and the space bar has the sockets

I can do a search for the MX spacebar solution however is there a size I should be looking for?

just to check the images; 542-new is the MX version and 542-old is for the original style of keyswitch?

For the non-latching MX version of the Keyboard how is the locking switch implemented?
You have a PM
Thanks

Is the Cherry MX key the same footprint as the original OSI key. ie do they fit the original 600 and UK101 board ? :?

Grant, OK cherry keys dont fit right. Can your 542c attach as an external to 600 board ?
