Those BRK messages make it look like there may be nothing but 00 bytes in the part of the ROM where the boot code should be! Can you please dump the contents of $FF00 through $FF9F? (Enter PFF00 in the Monitor and send/post the first 20 lines that are displayed.) I'm sure the image file I sent you had that code intact. But now that you have a good drive connected, you could also try that file I sent that runs boot code in RAM again.

Looks like you have made a breakthrough!
It's midnight here in NZ. Will be back on the case tomorrow.
Much thanks!

Well, it wasn't a dream, woke up this morning and it still works!
So something must have happened to this EPROM between the time of programming it, getting the serial working, and trying to get the floppy working. Basically it would not have pass the programming check if it had been programming bad...so maybe its just lost bits after programming.
Anyway, so now I'm onto the final steps...building one of Dave's Unified keyboards, and sorting out why the video signal out of my newly built 540 board is so bad...so I may be back here soon.
Anyway, just wanted to thank Mark and Danny for their continued support not only for me and my projects, but also to the community at large.
Cheers!
