C4P items for sale

Post by ohiodemon »

I am offering for sale two C4P systems, wood cases in surprisingly good shape, serial numbers 13584 and 21872. 21872 has matching disk enclosure 21872 and also 21311. 13584 has a black and white metal case drive; serial number unreadable, and has the Break key (go figure) broken. 13584 comes with what I can only describe as a DIY 10amp power supply. Huge and heavy thing.

I also have some service and programming documentation, a box with extra disk drives, a joystick, hex input pad, and ... about a dozen cards. Tried to get good photos of all, and they should be attached to this message.

I do hope you will all forgive the dusty, dirty condition of these items; they were found in storage after 40 years. I am hesitant to do too much cleaning, lest I muck up something fragile. Besides, with all that dust and cruft, nobody will mistake these for repro units! (lmao)

I will not be powering any units on for testing (after this long, who wants the possibility of blown cap guts everywhere?), so please consider these items for sale "as is."

I would prefer someone to pick up all this stuff in one bunch, in or near southwest Ohio. It would be truly monstrous to ship. Based on the tiny amount of data I can find, I'm valuing the whole lot at US$3500. That's based on taking 20% of the $500 card I found on eBay (laughing again) times 10 cards, minus a bit; whole systems in known working condition being valued at $1500 each, drives and documentation being added on piecemeal, then dropping the price again because I know someone's gonna have to get really dirty hands blowing the crud out of and off these things.

If I am completely full of it please advise — I don't want to be that guy. I'll take a reasonable cash offer for the whole pile rather than be a jerk.
