Many thanks Mark for the WP2 and WP3 Images.

I have uploaded an update on the Premier Basic 5 ROM and sorted out the command syntax for all but &PRNTUSING and the &CWI commands .Tested in winOSI. Command syntax is detailed in the upload.

BASIC 5 adds fast graphics commands, easy machine code calls, printat and putat, print formatting, gosubn and goton -a la Pascal, non halting getkey and Cegmon window commands.

Im still looking for further info on these ROMs: BASIC5 and Toolkit from Premier Publications if anyone can help.

I was just pointed to this forum by Bill O'Neill. I am the original author of HexDOS and am considering his urging to place it in the public domain, or perhaps some other status. I still have the original source code, on PC compatible media.

I recall implementing Forth on the OSI, but I don't find the source for that where I expected. I have various other utilities, etc. Would these be of any interest?

I'm amazed there's still an active community around this old beast. I finally threw away my old (highly modified) Superboard II a couple years ago, unfortunately. But I still have the original manuals, schematics, etc. Someday when I have lots of time to kill it would be fun to try to recreate a simulated Superboard in a Microchip PIC!

Hi Steve,
Been trying (for a while) to get HexDOS running on my C2 with a D&N board and Cegmon and a kot of help from Mike on these forums, but I'm having some hardware/timing issues with the D&N board which is slowing the process down.

Regarding a simulated C1, you may or may not have already seen this:

Hi Steve,

Welcome to the forum!! Thanks for creating your HexDOS way back in the day!

HexDOS has been a highly sought piece of software by C1/SBII owners trying to reconstruct their disk systems.

We would most certainly be interested in HexDOS code, comments, etc. It would be really interested to hear about your motivation and experiences writing HexDOS, and any stories you may wish to share.

Between the the OSI C1P clone by Vince Briel (SBII), and the reproduction 600 series boards that Kyle is working on, it seems we shall have options for putting together OSI systems without the unpredictable price, quality, and timing associated with Ebay auctions.

Best regards,

Dave

Welcome! It's always nice to see original developers here on the forum. Anything you have that's not in the archives would be of interest. I especially would love to have the source code made available as it's nice to see how things were implemented and would allow them to be updated/modified etc if one wants to.

There aren't a lot of us OSI'ers left and stuff is very hard to find now. I have a disk with Fourth on it which will be one of a batch of disks I will be sending to Phillip to archive. I also recently found some tapes which will be going to Dave soon as well. We really need to collect and make available as much as we can before these old disks and tapes become permanently unreadable.
