New Scan "Understanding OSI Floppy Disk System"

Post by tanteju »

I've cleaned up some old moving boxes from some decades ago. Was about to throw them unopened away, because do you really need something in a moving box you have not touched for 30 years?

I've found this booklet and scanned it for Dave.

Maybe someone finds it interesting.

Update: Could not upload the 27 MB scan. Fixed.

Thanks for this tanteju. However the document is barely readable. Is there an issue with your scanner ...

That's great, but as Mike mentioned, quality is lacking.

4PMF (2mhz 24k) - 505, 540, 527, D13 + 5.25" + Gotek
Superboard RevD - CEGMON + 610 board 24k + D13

I see it. That's the result from compression. The original 28MB file is readable.
If someone could download it here https://www.dropbox.com/s/fjs4hxxdm5d38 ... e.pdf?dl=0 and post on the page.

Here is a converted monochrome version about the same size (1.6MB) that may be more legible.
I increased the DPI, sharpened, converted to 1bit & compressed in PDF with CCITT compression, all with the power of XNView. I think it gets a little muddy, but its not too bad for the size.

Thanks to tanteju for the original!
