I've just bought a Viewtek LM-1510 secondhand on eBay for a bargain price. Whilst the 20" Dell would have been good, this 15" rackmount is more manageable for my setup.

I'll let you know how well it works with the UK101.

I'm pleased to report that the Viewtek LM-1510 works fine with the UK101 without using a buffer circuit.

The only issue is that a couple of pixels on the left-hand edge of the display are obscured by the casing and the framing isn't adjustable using its On-Screen Display menu. I've been unable to find a service manual for the display (only the attached spec sheet) but wonder whether the alignment might be adjustable on the UK101 itself?

Good to see the display works :)

Mine was off to the left on my displays and I had to patch my SYSMON ROM in order to make it work correctly.

Mine does have a custom ROM though, there is more info here: viewtopic.php?t=876

Ah, mine has the CEGMON ROM. I'll look into it further in due course but having had a quick look at the manual, the screen handler is fairly comprehensive.

Thank you!

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I might take the analogue monitor signal directly from the board, bypassing the UHF modulator, and interface this with a modern display using VGA/DVI/HDMI?

Thank you.
The open source RGBtoHDMI converter supports the UK101 and Superboard:

Thank you Ian, that's exactly what I need. I've located one of the pre-built RGBtoHDMI interfaces on eBay and will almost certainly make a purchase when I'm in a position to proceed with this.

Shortly after having got the UK101 working with the Viewtek LM-1510 I was about to realign the 'window' via a few lines of code, but the screen went blank and I'm unsure whether the fault lays with the computer or display. Unfortunately, in addition to being busy with other things, I'm extremely short of work space and don't currently have room to do the testing required to diagnose the problem.

Thanks again

I had a video failure as you've described, and it was one of the video circuit IC's, U70 I think. a replacement resolved the issue, worth checking.

You may find the "sell my retro" version of the mono/lumacode adapter better value as it comes with the Pi zero and SD card, the ebay version doesn't (same seller).
Disclaimer: I am not the seller but I do get donations to fund further development of the project from the sellers listed in the above wiki.

As mentioned it also works with the Superboard and I recently added a menu option to "join up the dots" on the Superboard:

In theory the TTL variant of the converter should work with the 600D to provide colour output but I still haven't got around to building my Klyball 600D so I haven't tried it.
