Using the output buffer did correct an issue with inconsistent syncing on my LCD TV / monitor but I have also tried a 7" LCD in-car type monitor which cycles in and out of sync continuously. I'm pretty sure that particular LCD monitor will never work with the Superboard II video signal regardless of level...

Regards, John.
Yeah both of the non working lcd’s are those in-car type where as the working Craig lcd is a TV with tuner.

I noticed your lcd is also 4:3 aspect ratio.
Going to try this older 4:3 tv off ebay that only has composite inputs. Maybe I’ll get lucky and it’ll work.

Incidentally the transistor I'm using in my buffer board is a 2n3904.

So I decided to use the 2 unused sockets at the top of my machine to host the video buffer board.

I used the 2 outer rows on the socket and used pin headers, firstly to locate it in a sensible way, and secondly to pick up 5v & GND.

Pretty happy with the video output.

And I now have 2 outputs, one for CRT and one for LCD.

About 21"

Has composite in directly and accepts NTSC or PAL.

ok yeah like my Craig 19"... Seems those work but once you go smaller then they don't work... must be because they are "monitors" and not "TV's"

I have a 10" LCD on the way to see how it goes with that, but I also have a composite to VGA adapter that I think I need to try as well.

Ah good. Will help determine if the issues I am having are isolated to my board or not. I have two "broken" older TV's coming that both have A/V inputs. a 9" and a 10"
