Hello,
Can anyone clarify:
1. what the appropriate calls are for loading\executing the track zero copy utility on V3.2 and V3.3 5" disks (C4PMF)?
2. are the directory tracks/sectors the same for both V3.2 and V3.3 (5" C4PMF)?
Thanks. T

Re: Splitting up disk images
Thanks. I will be up the C4 to 48K sometime in early March -- at least that’s my goal.

Splitting up disk images
I'm hunting for a source for downloading 65D disk images already split by track\sector. Jeff hosted a site like this (http://www.jeffferguson.ca/OSI/OS_Disk_Images/) which now appears to be defunct. Have been unable to reach Jeff via PM. Did anyone capture and download some or all of the track\secto...

Using Disk Images to Build Disks
Hello,
Has anyone posted on this site (forum or other locations) a detailed primer spelling out the steps involved in taking disk images and (via serial port) loading them onto C1|C4|C8 in order to create diskettes?

Re: MPI-B51 drive repair\alignment
Dave,
Thanks very much for the suggestions. I contacted Microcomputer Solutions. He has the equipment to service MPI B-51 drives. I sent two to him and we’ll see if they are salvageable. Tom

MPI-B51 drive repair\alignment
Does anyone know of a company/individual who services 5.25 floppy drives including the MPI-B51 -- looking for basic stuff like alignment.

Re: Power Supply - C4PMF with additional 527 board
I get the specs on the transformers. One of them is definitely committed to just the 527 board and the other one supplies the backplane -- and through the backplane both the 505 and 540 boards. A 2114L draws a max of 100ma. With 48 2114's on a fully populated 527 board, the theoretical max current c...

Power Supply - C4PMF with additional 527 board
Question -- I'm getting ready to add a second, fully-populated 527 board to a C4PMF to achieve 48K. Does anyone know if the two PSU's that came installed with the original C4PMF's provide sufficient current to power all that RAM?

8" Floppies 65D or 65U
Would anyone have the ability to generate a copy of 8" floppies with a version of 65D or 65U? I'm hoping to use them on a C8P that I'm rebuilding. I'll supply happily supply the floppies, S&H and provide reimbursement for the effort involved!
Thanks,
Tom

Getting a C8P-DF Working Again
I've just started work to restore a C8P-DF (without the 8" drives) that looks to be in great (cosmetic) shape. Removed the 5 boards (505B, 540B, 2x520, 1x527), checked traces and seating of IC's, and dusted off the boards. The power supply has two sets of outputs and the voltmeter shows both are gen...
