Re: Serial puzzle (was DISKREAD / RAWDUMP)

Me again, Doesn't this sound similar (identical) to the issue I was having with my C2? If you recall I was able to receive, but using DISKREAD would hang on the beginning of tk0....identical to yours. If you recall if I wiggled the serial cable I was able to get the dump to flow to the screen, but n...

Re: Serial puzzle (was DISKREAD / RAWDUMP)

I've sent you a copy of DISKREAD which is what I (used to) use.
Mike has an improved version called DUMPVIEW which is...better.

Re: Does anyone remember Polk Hobby?

Was thinking the 45 degree graphics could be something like this...

Not perfect, but as you are probably aware, 45 degree graphics are tricky.

Re: Help - trying to restore C1PMF

Hi, This is what I'd do, and again, there are people here far more qualified to answer than I am. Firstly. I'd put the drive to one side and concentrate on getting some kind of image, on some kind of screen. The drive can wait for later. Firstly check the output of the PSU. +5V. Then I'd test for 5V...

Re: Does anyone remember Polk Hobby?

I think your lander game has the potential to be a lot of fun. It's certainly fast enough, but I feel it suffers from not having 45 degree (diagonal) positional control for the lander. Having only 90 degrees makes it extremely challenging. After 20 mins of playing I still hadn't managed to land, and...

FYI
Erik's disk left on a courier yesterday. He should have them back in his hands soon.
Thanks Erik

Re: Does anyone remember Polk Hobby?

Hi Tom,
Did you save your Lunar lander program as a .wav file?
How did you load it into WinOSI?

Cheers

Re: Challenger 4P Help

My first guess is that something is running, as the screen seems to clear a little after pressing BREAK. Maybe it's a problem with the video board? Other than that guess, it's hard to know where to start... ...well actually, the place to start is probably to test the voltage output from the PSU(s), ...
