Re: Fantastic Copy floppy backup
I've been working through making full dumps of all the disks I got from Erik. I'm doing 3 passes per disk, so it's taking quite some time. I've been doing 1 or 2 disks per evening after work, and I'm about 4 disks from completing everything I got from Erik. I have turned the dumps I've done into .65...

Fantastic Copy floppy backup
I can not copy FANTASTIC COPY floppy. I could not even do a directory listing on this disk. It does however seem to boot with no problem. It boots into a simplistic interface which allows disk copying. However any disk I tried to copy with this software produces a non bootable floppy, and it was als...

Re: Call for OSI 5.25" floppy disks
I believe this software won't work because OSI used a very non standard format for it's disks...maybe others could explain in detail.

Re: Call for OSI 5.25" floppy disks
…ever get the feeling you're talking to yourself. Is that an echo…echo…echo... My suspicions about FANTASTIC COPY were correct. I did a hex dump of the disk using the 'Diskread' program, and there seems to be only data on track 0. All other tracks are empty. FANTASTIC COPY disk Tk0 dump 1B 80 08 A0 ...

Re: Call for OSI 5.25" floppy disks
And so it begins...
Erik's disks arrived today. Tonight I will attempt to back up everything to multiple sets of floppies. Unfortunately without any real (modern) backup tools, this is the best I can do at present.
Wish me luck.

Re: 'NULL' command in OS65D BASIC
That's what I thought. However the program at typed in is having problems. Mostly the program works, but I've noticed that when I alter a file name from the BEXEC menu, then try to do another DIR listing, the list is shown as incomplete, and missing many of the files on the disk. However, the files ...

Re: 'NULL' command in OS65D BASIC
Replying to myself here. I found this in the OS65D tutorial manual: There are a few BASIC functions in OS-65D V3.2 that are no longer present in V3.3. The first two of these functions are NULL and WAIT. These keywords have been replaced by EDIT and TRAP. …not sure where that leaves me though :-( May...
