Re: Paddleboard and separator....again

No takers?
No one wants to double check my schematic?
Boo hoo, so sad :-(

P.S. if you can't see the complete schematic in the browser, try dragging the image to your desktop (or saving it to your HD by other means). You should then be able to view the whole thing.

Re: C4PMF not working

I'm not so good at drive stuff myself, but just off the top of my head it could be: - The tk0 sensor. - A problem with the stepper signal or stepper motor. - And/or a problem with the ACIA. Maybe check some of the disk signals to see what the drive is receiving and sending. I'm sure there are others...

Paddleboard and separator....again

Hi everyone, This is my second attempt at designing a new paddleboard + data separator. I decided to make this one a little simpler and remove the motor control circuit and just focus on the basics. I’m putting this out there so that you can all help me critique it, and hopefully check my layout. I ...

Re: C1PMF

Well stay tuned as there may soon be an integrated data splitter+ paddle board that will allow you to used standard 8" or 5.25" floppies.

Re: C1PMF

Yes, that is correct. A typical setup would have a paddle board attached to the 470, 505 etc. The Paddle board then connects to a drive. The drive typically includes a data splitter (e.g. OSI implementation of the MPI 51) to separate the clock and the data signals, however there has been some work b...

Re: 527 RAM expansion board switches

Just for completeness, and for those who may come looking at a later date, I have posted Dave's classiccpm comments: W1->F9 pin 14 (Y1 = $2000) W2->F9 pin 13 (Y2 = $4000) W3->F9 pin 12 (Y3 = $6000) which allows the 8K block at $0000. If you had a 505 board and one 527, you'd move W3 over to the Y0 o...

Re: D&N MEM-CM9 problems

Hi Dave, I've been using Mike's Track 0 write utility. this is the same utility that I used on the C4 to get my corrupt OS65D disk up and running. Writing may be strange, but reading works fine, so I can actually boot from the newly resurrected floppy on the C2. As a test I have tried to duplicate t...

Re: D&N MEM-CM9 problems

Ok, memory problem fixed. Sorry for being such an idiot. The problem was a dead 2114 on the D&N board. Now I get the correct memory in BASIC (31999), and I also know that my memory program (that loads at $200) does not work on this system. I ended up finding a memory test program in BASIC to find th...
