Dave, I'm surprised how cheap that is. I thought it would be cost prohibitive. 3D printing rocks!

Re: C4P restoration(s)
Let us know how everything goes, or post questions if you need any help. I've brought a couple of these machine back from dead and I did find that the connection to the back plane was often an issue. In one case I had to finely sand the pins to get a good connection to the boards.

it's like an elephant graveyard in my hobby room
So i've recently been going through my collection of machines that have been sitting idle for a few months. My PET 2001, my Apple II and OSI 4P all had issues when they were working great just a few months ago. I fixed the Apple II. One of the masked ROMs was bad. it was an relatively easy fix (mayb...

been a while...
Well, it's been a long time since anyone has posted here so I thought I'd just say 'Hi'. Although I haven't been very active in the community recently. the OSI machines are never far from my mind. I also wanted to say that even though the forum maybe quiet, I do know there are a couple of things hap...

New retro computing site: neoncluster.com
Hi everyone, I wanted to let you all know that my new retro computing site, neoncluster.com, has finally gone live. It's still a bit of a work in progress, and you may come across some bad grammar, spelling mistakes, and the new look and feel still needs to be applied to some blog sections, but all ...

Adding 2716 EPROMs to 502 board
I wanted to document the process, for anyone who is interested, of replacing or adding 2716 EPROMs to the 502 board. For those who followed the thread on the fix of my recently acquired, and very hacked up 502 board, will remember that it did not have any BASIC ROMs installed. I wanted to find a sim...

Re: 502 board Fix
Now that serial data-in is working, I spent the evening tracking down the issue with data-out. It took some effort but I was able to find the problem. Just on the off chance, I actually built a identical circuit comprising of the transistor and two resistors outside the the 502 board, then fed the T...
