OSI sold C4/8 machines with the 4 MHz 6502C (NMOS part, not the CMOS 65C02). The C1 is a very similar design, so 4MHz should definitely be possible, if your memory is fast enough.

Re: Building the KLyball 600D
I agree the Cherry MX Brown has a nice feel. I got a sampler kit and tried out the different varieties, and felt Red was closest to the original--no click and not very stiff. The black was similar, but slightly more resistance to the keypress. I found a used gaming keyboard on Ebay featuring Cherry ...

Re: OSIWeb.org wish list :-)
To MK14HAK: Steve Hendrix is on this forum as SteveHx. I sent him a private message a week ago and he responded. I asked him about whether Hexdos could be posted here, and replied that [dave] was supposed to be handling putting it up. At Mike's suggestion, I created an OSIweb Github account, and ha...

Re: Superboard mods
@Jeff: It would be awesome if you scan the documentation and post some photos of the board.

Re: Pegasus FBASIC Compiler
I want it mostly because I always thought it was cool. I always just wanted to see it in action. It would be cool if the source were available as well. By now, CC65 would probably be a better option. I don't know that either is particularly efficient, but it would also be nice to set up some benchma...

Never heard of that one. It's for OSI? Did it work with the 541 board you have? How about third party boards like the Color-Plus?Jeff wrote:Two words: PLOT BASIC. It is a later version of BASIC that supported hi-res graphics.

Re: Designing a general purpose memory board
Jeff,
It's a great first project. Your concept is actually the most authentic to the period. Good luck, and we'll be here to kibitz, as usual.

Re: Pegasus FBASIC Compiler
All I know is from the ads in (I think) 6502 Micro. I seem to recall it's a subset of Microsoft BASIC, missing the floating point, but implementing most other features. I believe the basic numeric data type is a 16-bit int. I do remember the ads saying that FBASIC was written using OSI disk BASIC, t...

Re: Hello
Welcome, John! That's a really neat machine! It's great to have a C3 owner on board. I never got to see one in real life, but remember the ads for them very well. I'm also glad to see another serial system user on the site. Those are under-represented, so we'd be glad to follow you as you re-aquaint...
