Re: Superboard / 610 replica

Also, if you would be willing to share your scans, I would very much love to host them on this site. The higher the resolution, the better. . .

Re: Superboard / 610 replica

Yes, the boards probably won't be cheap to make. However, OSI boards often didn't have solder masks or silk screens, so a prototype quality run should be authentic. It should be possible, once you have gerbers and drill files, to import using a tool like Altium, and extract a netlist, and match that...

Re: Superboard / 610 replica

Wow, that looks really nice!

I'm interested in what methods and tools are you using to replicate the board.

Re: CXP board

Hi Paul,

Thanks so much for stopping by and posting! If you ever have the time, it would be great to hear more about your OSI experiences. That's the first I ever heard if anyone doing PCB layout on an OSI. I'd be extremely interested to learn more about what you did.

Re: Reconstructing OS65D disks from images on the web

Mark Spankus has a copy of OS65D v3.3 bundled with his emulator. I also have a copy I can post, if needed. It should be possible to cut the image into 2K track-sized chunks, and use the srecord utility or Ed's OSILOADER utility to send load a track to the OSI memory over a serial link (see the LINK...

OSIWeb.org wish list :-)

I welcome contributions, especially of software and scanned (or paper) manuals, stories, tips, tricks, hacks, and other info. working and non-working OSI hardware, either photos or the real thing. If you have some OSI stuff you'd like to share, but don't have the time or resources to scan documents ...

Re: Software disk archiving and disk creation

I have uploaded an 8" OS65D3.3 image file. OS65D338_1.65U This image has been constructed from the 5.25 image supplied with the winOSI emulator using Debug on the PC. Why ?... because I dont have any bootable media. I intend dumping this down to my OSI via RS232 and reconstructing an 8" bootable di...

Re: cc65 for the Challenger 1P

Stephan,

Also, the srecord utility may be useful for converting a standard output format, or a binary file, to the OSI monitor load format.

Re: cc65 for the Challenger 1P

Hi Stephan, That's awesome. Is the port primarily the creation of a library for the the C1P, or did you have to make changes to the compiler to avoid interference with page zero locations required by the ROM? Does CC65 use the hardware stack on page 1 for parameters and return addresses, or does it ...

Re: CXP board

Scott, that's an amazing find! Would you be willing to take some high-res pictures of the board? If you are willing, I'd love to include the board in the hardware section of the repository. It seemed as if the software for the board was at a very rudimentary stage. I'm curious if any operating syste...
