Re: been a while...
Steve, congratulations. I hope the machine works. If not, post here what it is doing, and let's get you a working machine.

Re: it's like an elephant graveyard in my hobby room
Good to hear from you! I've got shelves full of partly working machines as well. I will have to pick one machine and get it fully working so I can get to my planned OSI projects. And then I've got a never-ending supply of projects afterwards! Definitely let us know what happens when you start poking...

Re: Superboard II owner and replica creator
That's awesome, Vince! I've been moving and have only intermittent internet access for a few more days, so I've been a bit out of touch. I can't wait to see the final design!

Re: Superboard II owner and replica creator
Vince, This is awesome! The disk interface itself is less of an issue than finding working disk drives and usable floppies. I do have some working disks for the C1, and there are disk images (essentially raw dumps) for the C1 in Mark S's emulator package (http://osi.marks-lab.com/). I would like to ...

Re: Computer Junkie
Welcome to the forums!
Thanks for posting that. Very interesting stuff! If you ever do get your superboard up and running, it would be awesome if you are able to retrieve and share with us some of your projects. I hope to hear more from you here on the forums.

Re: SOFTWARE
Hi Graeme, Good to hear from you! I just received a very interesting 8" floppy system fitted with relatively newer half-height 8" drives, as well as a similar stack of disks, including the UCSD p-system with pascal and fortran compilers, and more. We should compare notes. Unfortunately, I won't be a...

Re: C1P Plastic case on ebay
Hi Steve, thanks for the first post in 2013! That's a nice unit--those plastic cases are hard to come by.
It seems that our friend Bill S. won it, which is awesome, especially at that price! Congratulations Bill! It would be great if you can post some pictures once you have it up and running.

Re: Generic Computer Products & Portland Board
Welcome Robert! Thanks for posting here. I actually have a Color-Plus board (photo below). You may have noticed that the documentation is actually on my wish-list on the front page. However, I suspect that the 9918 data sheet will go a long way toward that end. It's a shame the drivers and docs are ...

Re: Help needed getting MPI 51 floppy drive working
Assuming you used (Ed's?) rawdump utility, then that is not what you should be seeing. There's a great article in the journals section of the archive (link here) , Compute #20, p 136, describing the format of track 0 and the other tracks, and this does not match the expected format for track data. I...

Re: Funky 540 Video board on 4P
Hi Phil, From the picture, you have the same line over and over again. However, the column counters seem to be fine, as do the row counters as far as the 8 rows of each character. That should prompt a look at the row counter chain farther down the line; perhaps U5H at the end of the the row divider ...
