Also, high quality 540 / 542 rev B scans would be most welcome.

Wanted - higher quality 505 schematic scan
Hi all, I can't recall who gave me the 505 schematics I have in the archive. That scan was made way back when bandwidth was expensive, scanners were slow and tedious, and disk space was a precious resource. Of course all that has changed by now. Would anybody with a set of original 505 schematics be...

Re: Getting my C2 up and running
Lots of good ideas there. A few years back, I carefully inspected and re-soldered the entire backplane, and carefully reflowed every socket and connector pin on the CPU board. I actually did put a scope on all the bus lines with the board in various degrees of flexion, but was not fortunate enough t...

Re: New data separator and motor control card
I got the boards a while ago, but have been too busy with work to get my OSI systems up and running until last week. I'd like to make sure everything else works first, then check out the board. Nama has a board, and is building one up, so he may get to test it out before me. I would not be surprised...

Getting my C2 up and running
I finally was able to pull out the C2-4P today. It's got a 502 card, fitted with CEGMON in a 2716 and a MAX-232 chip; a 540 card, a 527 card with 24K, and a 470 floppy board. My intention is to get it to boot from a floppy. It looks like I have video. The 502 card is flaky, and has been ever since I...

Re: Software disk archiving and disk creation
Hi Glitch, It would awesome to have a utility like ADT Pro for OSI. We have DOSDUMP (for track 0 and 1) and RAWDUMP (for 1-39), but these are read-only, and can't create a disk. Part of the problem with many OSI'ers faced with OSI systems and questionable disk drives is the lack of good physical med...

Re: Help repairing Superboard II
Hopefully, the above excellent descriptions helped you re-seat the chips. I, too, use a thin screwdriver to help lift up the chips in a controlled way. I slide it under each end and use it as a lever to slightly raise up the chip part-way in the socket, then push it down. Try to avoid lifting up wit...

Re: Help repairing Superboard II
Hi Noam, Welcome to the board! Glad you got out the superboard, and found this site. You have video, so that's half the battle already. Now you've got to start troubleshooting the microprocessor section. There are several resources listed on the top of the osiweb.org page. Check out Prof. Mark Csele...

Re: I picked up a C1P on ebay
Nice. I actually thought about bidding, but I figured I had better get to work on the gear I already have. I also hope it works. And good luck with the 610 board.

Re: Software disk archiving and disk creation
Those are really good points. At the moment, the advantage of using the raw disk data format (straight disk dump including formatting bytes for each track / sector, starting at the index hole) is that it simplifies any emulator trying to access disk images. The disadvantage is that it complicates di...
