Re: C3 on eBay

It looks like the auction may have just timed out, with no bidders and no Buy-it-Now. I doubt anyone would really be willing to pay that much for a C3 in "not working in many years" condition.

Re: Getting my C2 up and running

I had some bad single-wipe sockets on two of my 520 RAM boards. Same kind of results...depended on how the board was flexed! Fortunately, I had three in the system, so rejumpering one allowed me to find bad sockets on the other two. Those single-wipe sockets can be pretty lousy.

Re: Software disk archiving and disk creation

Indeed, that's what has kept me from getting CP/M up on my Challenger III...I can't just create new disks from images, even if I had the images! Rather, I have to get around to posting disks to Mark Csele in Canada, getting him to copy his original disks, and mailing the results back -- hoping, of c...

Re: Software disk archiving and disk creation

I've got OS-65U and will have CP/M at some point in the near future (I've got CP/M 1.4, but the disks won't boot, and I'm pretty sure it's dead/dying media). I'm currently working on a type/toggle-in serial loader for the 8080/8085, mostly for S-100 systems and my 8085 SBC project. I plan on porting...

Re: OSI 524 64K RAM Board Working!

If I do add the extra sockets and decode logic, I'll take pictures and do a writeup on the modifications. I need to just generally document my Challenger III system as well.

OSI 524 64K RAM Board Working!

I finally got my Challenger III set up on the new desk in the basement. I've got a full 48K of RAM for it in OSI 520 16K boards using SEMI 4200 devices, but last weekend I traded Bill Dromgoole for an OSI 524 64K RAM board. As with most 524 boards, it has been built up as a 48K board. I haven't been...

Re: Anyone need 8T26s?

I've bought quite a few things from I-Deal over the years. They're listed for $62, but Best Offer is enabled and it looks like he recently accepted an offer of $35. At least there are a /few/ sellers that know what "Best Offer" means nowadays!

Anyone need 8T26s?

Looks like I-Deal components has them listed for a little over $1 each in quantities of 25. If other people would like a few spares, I'll get 25 and split them up.

Re: OSI Manuals and Schematics

Feel free to copy them -- the more places they're archived, the smaller the chance of loss. I do plan on keeping them up permanently though.
