RawDump for C4PMF
As you may or may not know, the C4PMF (505 board) does not have BASIC IN ROM on board. Nor does it have nice serial input and output routines in its SYN600 monitor ROM (At least I am not aware of them!). RAWDUMP in the OSI TOOLS was written for the C1P and uses its cassette port and BASIC keyboard s...

Re: Splitting up Disk Images into Track and Sector Files
My router packed it in yesterday and I haven't set up the new one to port forward to my server. I will set it up first thing tomorrow.
Thanks for the notice.

Re: Building the KLyball D-13
I have attempted to transfer the jumper settings for Dual Sided Drives on the 610 to the 505.
Here is what Klyball recommended for the 610: (3 cuts, 3 Jumpers) Here are my results: (3 cuts, 3 jumpers) /Jeff

Re: OSI 541 Board
My C4P crashed while booting from floppy today, and showed me an interesting screen.
Here is a closeup:
I wonder what memory address triggered this.

Re: Building the KLyball D-13
@Klyball I made the first three changes to my OS on track 0 but I changed them to support 80 tracks. Is the 4th change for sectors per track? I'm perfectly happy with 8 sectors per track as I don't need all that space and I don't want to mod all the apps on the tutorial disks to support 8" mode. Als...

Re: Building the KLyball D-13
So, basically, the change to go to 8" drive emulation is just modifying the drive (and the 610) to store 12 sectors per track instead of 8, right?

Re: Building the KLyball D-13
OK, I figured out why it wouldn't boot from my other disks. This is an 80 track drive!!! I did a raw dump of the data on my boot disk (made with a single track drive) and Track 0 was fine; Track 1 was garbage, Track 2 matched the boot disk Track 1, and so on. Every other track was real data! So In o...

Re: Building the KLyball D-13
So, on a whim, I decided to hook up another floppy drive I had lying around... An Epson SD-800. This FDD combines a 3.5", 1.44 Megabyte floppy disk drive with a 5.25", 1.2 Megabyte floppy disk drive in a half-height chassis. I set the SS1 jumper to 'B', to select the 5.25 drive as A, instead of the ...

Re: Building the KLyball D-13
I made the mods to the 610, and added the jumpers on the D13 and both sides of my drive are now supported! I added pins, so I could change the jumpers in the future, if necessary.
