Re: cc65 for the Challenger 1P
A quick update on the progress of cc65 for the Challenger 1P since my last post. Several changes made it into the main cc65 repository (https://github.com/cc65/cc65) on GitHub. The conio library (http://cc65.github.io/doc/funcref.html#ss2.14) learned scrolling and got a kbhit implementation (http://...

Re: cc65 for the Challenger 1P
"osic1p" target has landed in the main cc65 repository It was high time that the OSI machines get a decent C compiler... I just posted a message to the cc65 mailing list that my contributions for adding a new target for the OSI C1P have been accepted into the main cc65 repository on GitHub. I'm quo...

Re: Sunday with my SuperBoard II
I'm reluctant to make this board too complicated as I have seen too many nice simple ideas grow to the point that they get so complicated they never see the light of day. I totally agree to keep things simple and focus on the RAM-only board for now. I hope we can all afford another more capable boa...

Re: Sunday with my SuperBoard II
That looks great! I'd be definitely interested.
Do I see it correctly that this plugs into the expansion socket, and that the socket on top of your board can still be used for other expansions?

Re: cc65 for the Challenger 1P
The c1p target of the cc65 compiler is now in a state where it is usable to create meaningful programs that write to the screen and read from the keyboard of the Challenger 1P. 8 kB RAM are pretty tight, and depending on what library functions are used the programs can quickly be too big. So having ...

I will change the object converter to use CR in...

Mike, Here is the make lib file and resultant output: ... Anyone ?? no special build scripts should be necessary. This is a walk-through how to build the compiler, the run time library and finally the hello world test program on Windows: Requirements: - Microsoft Visual Studio Community Edition 2013...

Re: cc65 for the Challenger 1P
Hello Mike, Stephan, I had tried following the custom target creation docs on cc65.org having installed cc65 and generated a hello word program that runs ok on Vice for C64. Will compiling the library for the CIP from your sources not work? I have used a modified makesim file after reading 6502.org ...

Re: cc65 for the Challenger 1P
Hello Mike, srecord is here: http://srecord.sourceforge.net/ thanks for the pointer, I will try srecord, and if it works as expected I will throw out the self-written object file converter. My recent purchase of an Atari 800XL had got me interested in this. Is c1p.h ; c1p.cfg and libsrc c1p and src ...

Re: cc65 for the Challenger 1P
Also, the srecord utility may be useful for converting a standard output format, or a binary file, to the OSI monitor load format. I was not aware of the srecord utility, so I wrote my own converter from the cc65 output format to a format loadable by the OSI monitor. Where is the srecord utlity ava...
