no rom but I have a 64k module so I just load the rom code into ram where needed.

Are you using 6821s in place of the 6820s on the 560Z board, then? I have no drives hooked up I was low on 6821's so I took them out of my interface, i'm using my serial boot file while on the bench, normally I use modified 3.5 1.44 drives instead of my 8 inch beasts that are 220v to save wear and tear on them.
