Re: Designing a general purpose memory board
Nice. You could also use just 1 SRAM and one ROM chip of sufficient size to cover the whole 64K range The Design I am going to use has a um61512 and a 27c512 with a pld ,The credit goes to Bill on this one . Only really use full if you can program a pld but can pick and choose in 4k blocks in any c...

Re: 510 board build
Very tidy Grant. Is the 6800 serial monitor similar to 65A monitor ? Any software around for 6800 on OSI ? Did you find a serial boot disk or just tweak video version i/o defaults ? Hope we can find you 65U. You have a very unique system I would think. Well done. Yes the 68A and 65A function the sa...

Re: 510 board build
Made some progress on my new system, after now having disk access I am working on the multi processor side , I made a modified boot disk and wrote a small utility to switch processors and select options, it's a work in progress. The 510 has a 256 byte ram at F200 that write protects and remaps to FF...

Re: Sunday with my SuperBoard II
Update: 2015/04/25 Okay, back from both my trips, but I have some troubling news. For some very strange and odd reason, I am having random errors on the expansion card. This is driving me nuts as the basic design is taken from the expansion module I created about a million years ago. The only chang...

Re: Looking for 5.25 drive replacements
use the mpi 52 schematic and use a mutli meter to trace out the circuit to the separator you will need to snip a trace as above.

Re: Looking for 5.25 drive replacements
The logic boards for the 51 and 52 are basically the same it's just missing the head on the other side I would assume the only difference in the 92 is the step to get 80 tracks the osi will see it as drive A and drive B after you make the adjustments to the 610 board So right now if you hook it up i...

Re: Looking for 5.25 drive replacements
I would just check the separator part of the mpi 51/52 schematic I would bet it will be the same /add your separator and cut this connection To use the newer MPI drives without the separator board you must follow the trace from pin 30 to the 7438 NAND pin 3. Now follow pin 3 of the NAND and you will...

Re: Help - trying to restore C1PMF
Hi Tom
Error 7 is fine its reacting to cr after the load, i have used it now with my 600/610 and my 510/610 to make boot disks, so the boot file should be fine
