Re: OS-65U Disk Image

Mike: Those are the settings I'm using, but the image you posted doesn't boot for me. The track number on the drive icon goes back and forth between 0, 1, and 2 a few times, then dies with the track number back at 0 and the green light on. The debugger shows the CPU locked in a tight loop consisting...

Re: OS-65U Disk Image

Mike, I just noticed that little "cassette" icon on the bottom of your emulator screen graphic. Mine doesn't have that. What version of WinOsi are you using? My copy (same as the one available for download) says "Version 2 alpha" when you click on the "About" option under "Help".

Re: OS-65U Disk Image

BTW, "Access None" means "without the password". You should be able to run CHANGE, PACKER, etc. by including the password on the command line, i.e. RUN"CHANGE","PASS"

Re: OS-65U Disk Image

Mike: glad to see it is working for you. I downloaded your "quiet" version, but it still doesn't boot for me. What are we doing different?

Re: UK101 Resoration

Yes, please post the ROM images that you have. (Actually, I have copies of the MONUK01, MONUK02, and CEGMON ROMs, but not of WEMON.)

OS-65U Disk Image

I know there was mention here at one point of someone wanting to try running OS-65U on their system but not having a disk with a good copy of it. So I am posting this image of OS-65U 1.44. It was sent to me a number of years ago by Mark Spankus, and was misnamed as version 1.42. I have determined th...

Re: DOS/65 Richard Leary

Rich: Does this mean that you don't want Mike to post the working images of the existing version that he apparently already has? Can I ask why not?

Mike: Can you describe what you did to get it working?

Re: OSIWeb.org wish list :-)

Rich, Definitely post images of the disks that you have if possible. The RAWDUMP program that Dave was talking about simply dumps the raw contents of each disk track (including formatting bytes) to a file. The format is: images of 5.25" disks are 92,160 bytes long (40*9*256), with the raw image of e...

Re: Boot disk for c1p

$2D73 is the in-line print string routine. So $53 is not an opcode, it is part of the message <cr><lf>OS-65D V3.0. Track 0 seems to have loaded to the right place. As for why you don't see the format information on track 1, you just didn't look far enough in. In the online disk image, the track head...

Re: Building the KLyball D-13

Didn't OSI call the two sides of the first drive A and C, and the two sides of the second drive B and D? Wouldn't it make sense to stick with that if possible? It may not matter with 65D, but it would with another operating system (like 65U) which keeps track of the head positions of the two physica...
