Re: Rawdump diskread

If he can boot up to 65D, it shouldn't be necessary to use any special software to dump the disks. It seems to me that something like this should work fine: 10 FOR T=0 TO 76 15 PRINT "Dumping track";T 20 DISK!"EX 4000="+RIGHT$(STR$(100+T),2) 30 FOR I=0 TO 3583 40 PRINT#8,CHR$(PEEK(16384+I));:POKE 22...

Re: Hexdos 4.0 disk image

Bill:

As described in the text file within the download, it was assembled using the OS-65D assembler, running under WinOSI. Slow, but it worked. The source code intended for use with A65 on the PC doesn't work, because the way the .BYTE directive is used is not compatible with A65 syntax.

Re: Hexdos 4.0 Manual

I rescanned the manual as monochrome (with just the front cover still grayscale, because it contains gray) and it came out good, but is still too big to post here. So I uploaded it to the public folder on my Dropbox account. You can get it here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25837145/HexdosMan...

Hexdos 4.0 disk image

I assembled the source code for Hexdos 4.0 that Dave the Administrator posted at Github, and created a working diskette image, which is attached, along with a description of the process used and the required copyright notice. I wanted to also include a scan I made of the printed manual, but it is to...

Re: New member original super board II owner

It sounds like your video mod is the same one OSI later implemented themselves in the 600 Rev. D/C1 Series II. But you had it first. 48 characters visible on a line, with the lower left corner of the visible screen being D3CC? Did you have a way of switching between 24-character and 48-character mod...

Re: OSIWeb.org wish list :-)

Dave,

The Aardvark "Tiny Complier" is included in the Basic listings section of the WinOsi download. Did they have any other Basic compiler? I can't find any indication that they did.

Re: OSIWeb.org wish list :-)

Jeff, Yeah, I'm glad we have someone with a serial OSI system here too. Welcome. I guess you have the version without the hard drive, otherwise you would have mentioned the HD. C3-A is what I think the rack system without the HD was called. It's pretty amazing to think that today, a common flash dri...

Re: Pegasus FBASIC Compiler

I used to have a copy of FBASIC on an 8" disk. It was definitely for 65D, not for ROM Basic systems. I think code that it generates could be relocated without too much trouble. The compiler itself took input from a disk file, I'm pretty sure, so converting that might be more of a problem. I'm waitin...

Re: DQ Sec/Editor combo, Adventures, Enhanced BASIC (8")

Only two downloads out of 20 views? I guess not a lot of people use 8" floppies, even emulated ones. I probably should have described the games that are included. They include a full version of the original Scott Adams "Pirate Adventure". Also a full version of the original "Dog Star Adventure", whi...

OSI Editor for Enhanced Pico-Dos

When I added backspacing to Pico-Dos, my thoughts were that that would be just an interim step, and that if possible, I wanted to add full editing capability, similar to that in 65D 3.3 and the version I added to 65D 3.2. I have now succeeded in doing that. How is that possible, since the Basic is i...
