Re: OSI 600 Superboard II replica
Yes, for me the perfect OSI replica would support C2 / C4P with 64x32 video in 8 colours. I'm not sure how much value the expansion connector is with 3.3V. How many expansions will be created for it? I'd rather see a 5V, 40 pin DIP like on the superboard built in or made as a user populated option o...

Re: Finally...almost there
Congrats on the work so far. I haven't had the time to diagnose my own floppy system, which was working in 2006. Hopefully my boot disks are still ok 8 years later... Is there any way to manually load the boot sector from the disk image file then write it back to floppy? It's been so long I don't re...

Re: OSI 600 Superboard II replica
It's possible to do that. We've been considering a 2nd version without the keyboard but with a connector port and a PS/2 adapter. Since it is still early enough in the development I'll look into both options. The hard part on the C64 keyboard (or other brand like TI 99/4) would be the matrix would ...

Re: OSI 600 Superboard II replica
I'm interested as well, but what are the chances of splitting the computer and keyboard into two separate boards? I'd like to be able to use either a real OSI keyboard or perhaps adapting some other keyboard, say Commodore 64.

Re: The OSI C4P Page
Welcome! Good to see you made it here. I'm sure there are people here who can lend a hand. Perhaps you can start a new thread and describe the problem(s) and what you have tried to fix them.

Re: Retrocomputing guy
Welcome! Yes, I believe there was a colour graphics card based on the TMS9918 chip. I think the designer of that card has been on this forum, but AFAIK does not have any boards or documentation left. I've been reading all about the TMS9918/28 and V9938/58 chips and it would be almost trivial to buil...

Re: C4P restoration(s)
Well, I brought out all my OSI boards and such to start working on things. I picked one of my c4P's to be the testbed. I plugged in a 540B board. I tried both of my 502 CPU boards and so far the results are the same. the computer powers on to a 64x32 screen full of random characters. Reset does noth...
