Color and things

Continuing from my last post don't want to hijack the other thread.

I thought of trying to replicate the 630(i like the idea of keeping thing as retro as possible while the vintage parts are still around) but i stripped the color section from the schematic to make a little board that just plugs into the color socket on the 600rev d.

My thought for the data separator board were to

Data separator in or out
rdy line in or out
some proto sockets for motor control although i was reading some where that if using hexdos and hooking up the rtc and int its already set up
in software
making the board look as retro as possible to keep with the look

Hexdos anyone?

this is how mine is looking, im building from the bottom up

Where did you find a 630 schematic ?

Ill send you HexDOS for RevD shortly.

Ooops. Missed that. Thanks
I cant match your board development speed Grant. Your D-13 looks pretty much like the paddle board I have been labouring over. Will check that HexDOS article.
Ill PM you and we can compare notes. I hope to have a proto pcb done next week.
Thanks for the netlist offer. Wow. Will be watching your 630 progress too.

Grant, while you are in the "zone" with these PCBs would you be interested in doing a 620 board ??
And how is the color going?

Hmm lets see 600,610,620,630 that would make a pretty cool setup even if its not the originals

I'm at the layout stage of the 630 but can't find any pictures of one so I don't really know the size of the board, I have the chip layout from the schematic and am kind of guessing at the scale, I want it to look pretty retro so I am using the 600/610's as template of sorts for the routing .

in the mean time I made a smaller board that could plug right into the 600 rev D's color socket,

I have a started on a 620,630 and a 480 , it would be great if someone with a 48 pin buss could measure the spacing between the 4 molex connecters for me.

TIA
