Display monitor

Post by Steve Gray » Wed Apr 18, 2012 12:53 am

Hi,

What monitors are people using these days. In the day I had the OSI C4P but always connected it to a composite monochrome monitor. Looking at the 540B schematics I see that there is actually RGB output from the board. Has anyone tried connecting something like a Commodore 1902, 1080, 1084 etc monitor? I also wonder if it might be possible to use a VGA LCD monitor, for example one that syncs down to 15kHz, or a "normal" one that does 30kHz by using an adapter board (scan doubler)?

I've never done this, so I can't provide an answer. If you attempt to interface to an LCD, I would be very interested in the results.
