Hi,
I have two c4p systems..one has a d&n floppy controller and mpi51 drive (if I recall). Second machine is cassette based but has a bad 502 CPU board. I recently picked up a 505 CPU board (with floppy controller) on eBay. Unfortunately it is missing the a13 paddle board. Anyway, I want to try adding one or two drives. Does anyone have any tips on what drives are available these days that I could get working on this system? Can anyone point me to any info that might help?

Re: Floppy drive options
Mike, that's great! No, I'm not familiar with those. Sounds interesting.

Hi Steve,
I have been going through the Peek(65) collection, archived on the OSIweb page. Check out Peek(65) vol 7, issues 9 and 12, from the "Journals" section. These include articles on adding DS/DD and high-density 5.25" and 3.5" drives, including the construction of motor control and data separator circuits (pretty simple mods), and the 50-pin OSI to 34-pin standard disk connectors. I still have my original MPI drive, which is flaky, but which I hope to revive since I'd like to preserve some software. Nonetheless, I think I will have to go this route as well. Perhaps whoever gets a HD drive up and running first (MK14HAK?) can share notes.

Best regards,
Dave
