If I use a D-13 with a C8P normally connected to 8” drives, can I connect and R/W to 5” drives without making any changes to the 505 board (which has been modified as usual for R/W operations at 250Khz)?
Thanks, Tom

there are not enough sectors, i use 3.5 1.44 drives for the eight inch, you just need to make a slight mod to the drive, its in the thead

Re: Building the KLyball D-13
Great thread! One quick question thou: The only software mods were to change the number of supported tracks. So how is the 2nd side accessed? If I followed everything correctly the 2nd sides just appear as a different drive? So A: is drive zero side zero, B: is drive zero side one, C: is drive one side zero and D: is drive one side one?

geowar1,
A: is drive 0, side 0, B: is drive 1, side 0, C: is drive 0, side 1, D: is drive 1, side 1.
A: is drive 0, side 0, B: is drive 1, side 0, C: is drive 0, side 1, D: is drive 1, side 1.

The link to the parts list in the first post is broken.
Anyone got a BOM for the D-13?

here's a schematic that should work with the latest version.

Following the schematic… where does Drive_Select-3 originate? Both the 5.25" and 8" interfaces use it but I can find where it comes from.
