Just finished my first OSI Challenger C1P.
Thanks to Grant for making the Gerber's available so I could get some boards made up.
And Dave for his key cap sets.
Made up a home made case to put everything in plus a 3D printed badge.
put a switched mode power supply and RAM up grade board.
Happy days.

Excellent job…
I’m about to start the same here…
Do you have any drawings for the case ? Dimensions etc ?
Did you have the keyboard cutout laser cut ?
Cheers

Wow, that looks amazing!
Are you using a memory expansion with a modern RAM chip, or a 610 board loaded with RAM?
Also, since some folks are asking in other threads, did you have to fix any errata to get this up and running, or did it work "out of the box"?
Dave

Re: OSI Challenger C1P Reborn.
Thanks Dave,
Was a fun project and a way for me to get into the OSI Challenger C1P.
I made up a RAM board on a proto board from a post in this forum.
https://osiweb.org/osiforum/viewtopic.p ... +600D#p856
As I will probably get a 610 PCB board made which the gerbers here.
As far as fixes etc. I didn't make any seemed to work first time.
The only addon was for the RAM board I added wire on the back for the +5 volt.
Hope that helps.
Vernon

Re: OSI Challenger C1P Reborn.
hi,
Did the original keyboard have a software “shift lock” key toggle or a latching Shift keyswitch ?
I’ve never seen an original in person myself…
Cheers

Re: OSI Challenger C1P Reborn.
Fabulous build!!! I am embarking on a Challenger 1P reproduction project. Like many others in this thread I would be very interested in any details you care to share about the case design and construction: for instance, case dimensions, drawings, construction materials, equipment required, etc.
Thanks in advance
Mike
